Feedback are the life line for Ebay sellers. Ebay has made it even more important to keep buyers as satified as possible.Buyers on ebay can't be given negative feedbacks due to change in ebays Feedback policy.
Sometimes there is nothing you can do.I got a negative due to Shipper damaging a product.
Here are a few of my helpful hints :
1) Keep all lines of comunications open with buyers. Email them after end of sale,after being payed ,Send buyer tracking # if possible, send thanks note.
2)Wrap all products securely and leaving Thank You not it possible.
3) Answer any questions they might have. Keep all email short and to the point. Don't get personable.
4) Check and Double check discriptions in auctions. Mistakes can be made .Keep them to a minamum.

Department of Interior Topo or Topographic maps are great tools for many reasons .Some i have found to be sought after by "Treasure Hunters" looking for certain sites that have been long forgotten. A tip for treasure hunters is to copy your map or maps soon after receiving .You can then fold map up for carrying around. Maps condition now are very brittle due to age.Many are over 100 years old.
Other buyers of these maps are collectors. Many make great pictures to be framed or stored. Older maps surveyed earlier than 1920 measure about 20"x17" most are reprinted by United States Geological Survey and US Coast and Geodetic Survey. Newer maps are a little larger.
Many Railroad collectors use these topo maps to find and searh out Abandoned Railroad lines . I have used these Topo maps to look for Abandoned Railroad Lines in past to look for old vintage Rail spikes,Railroad Buildings,Rail nails or treasures. I have learned of old Rail Trams that have been long gone but still found (90 year old) old spikes from logging tram that ran thru my grandparents farm from these maps.

Vintage US Topo Maps Department of Interior
Upcoming auctions on Durbinsstuff ebay store http://stores.shop.ebay.com/durbinsstuff__W0QQ_armrsZ1 will be Old US Topo Maps from Department of Interior and US Geological Survey i bought at local Estate sale. Topo maps of Missouri, Kansas, MA, New Mexico. ,Ca., Geogia ,Alabama ,Nevada, Boston, Maine, New York ,Kentucky and More....
Estate seller was a Map Maker from Missouri School of Mines and local collector.
I have spent many hours looking over many of these maps.They are loaded with great info on old Cemetary's, Roads, Landmarks (some long Gone), Railraods (many now desolved) . and much more Historical facts. Some buyers are using these vintage maps for Hiking ,Cave Exploring and Treasure hunting!!
Believe it or not i bought these a estate auction.Auctioneer sold the whole contents of basement .Many buyers were not willing to take a chance on bidding on the whole basement full of items .Knowing they would have to clear out everything. I talked my Scap Metal buddy into going partners with me and we bought all the content in basement for $25.00 . It took us 2 weeks to clear out all the goodies out of the mouse and wasp infested basement but it was worth it. Amoung items i found about 300 old Topo maps from the 1800's and early 1900's.
My Scrap dealing friend was tickled just to get all the Scrap motors (about 2 ton ) all to his place.

Vintage Annual Mining Reports on Durbinsstuff
Last of Vintage Books on ebay have been posted including Old Mining Books from 1800's and early 1900's . Most of these collectable Report books have been bought from a Local Library sale .I bought them in bulk . Sold to me from their surplus of unused books. I aquired about 400 manuals,books ,CD's , documents and Annual Reports .Some were sold on My Ebay store "durbinsstuff" http://stores.shop.ebay.com/durbinsstuff__W0QQ_armrsZ1 rest of books were dontated or recycled.
Look for local sales in your local newpaper, online classifieds and library web sites. I have enjoyed going thru all the books.
